Description
I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas
Mommy and Daddy are mad!
I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas
Cause I ain't been nothin' but bad!
Sounds like this kid needs a lawyer! Are your students up to the task??
Put your students in the position of a lawyer with this kid as their client and guide them through a settlement and negotiation process!
In "Nuttin' for Christmas" Students:
- Analyze the ten offences listed in the song using task cards! Younger students draw and older students write what they think happened in the moments after these incidents occurred.
- Brainstorm ways their client could make the situation right.
- Evaluate and rank the ten offenses from greatest to least and explain their reasoning.
- Draft an opening offer to present their client's parents!
The days leading up to break can include FUN and RIGOR!
And just because you've been EXTRA good this year, we've included a complete second lesson for free!
In "Rudolph" Students focus on making and evaluating tough decisions by analyzing the classic song to determine how Rudolph should react and what advise Rudolph would give. Students conclude by creating rules the reindeer could write to make sure that The Reindeer Games are fair for ALL reindeer!
This download includes the following for BOTH lessons:
- Teacher's Guide
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Student Materials
Great for grades K-2 but perfect to get older students thinking as well!!
